Our ‘Little Dove’ will be sailing through 400 years of history - the turbulent modern history of Indonesia, through the peak of Dutch colonialism, through the wars to control the lucrative Spice Trade, and finally reach Australia to meet the Aboriginal people whose Dreamtime has lasted 40,000 years.
The voyage is taking nine months to complete. The Duyfken will arrive in Brisbane, QLD in December 2000 to a huge welcome by the city as she sails up the Brisbane River.
